AVP Michigan Facilitators Joe and Kathy Ossmann and Bill Warters traveled to Ann Arbor to offer facilitation services for an advanced workshop organized by Friends Peace Teams. The August 16-18 2024 workshop was hosted by the Ann Arbor Friends Meeting which provided the space, childcare and home hospitality to make the workshop possible. The event featured a wonderfully diverse group of participants with a good mix of Quakers and Muslims and some international participants.
The AVP Michigan team greatly appreciated the care and support provided by the local hosts and the delicious food provided by members of the Muslim community!
This advanced workshop followed on the heels of a basic workshop offered the prior weekend by Friends Peace Teams with facilitator Nadine Hoover and a skillful local team.
Looking ahead, Friends Peace Teams will offer an Advanced Special Topic Workshop on the topic of Trauma Resilience on the weekend of November 22-24, 2024 in Ann Arbor. To participate, you will need to have already completed a basic workshop.
